A unique Filipino dessert, made with Palitaw (Filipino mochi) and Yema (caramel custard). These Palitaw mochi balls are filled with Yema and rolled in coconut. Comes in Ube and regular flavors.
Palitaw, meaning “to float” is a sweet, sticky rice cake, very similar to Mochi. The dough is dropped in boiling water, and floats when cooked. Yema, also known as Filipino caramel, is a custard-like filling made with milk and egg yolks.
